The Nautical Institute of Ukraine Youth Forum (NIU-YF – structural part of the Nautical Institute of Ukraine) is a group of young professionals and students who are interested in the maritime industry and its development in Ukraine. The NIU-YF aims to promote the values and objectives of the Nautical Institute, foster networking and collaboration among its members, and provide opportunities for learning and professional growth.
The head of NIU-YF shall be elected by the NIU-IF members on an annual basis and confirmed by the NIU Committee. He’s reporting to the Honorary Secretary of NIU on the status and activities of NIU-YF.
As a member of the NIU-YF, you are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:
- Respect: You should treat everyone with respect, dignity, and courtesy, regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other aspect of their identity. You should avoid any form of harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intimidation. You should also respect the opinions and perspectives of others, even if they differ from your own.
- Integrity: You should act with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all your interactions with the NIU-YF and its stakeholders. You should uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. You should not engage in any activity that could harm the reputation or interests of the NIUYC or the Nautical Institute. You should also report any misconduct or violation of this code to the NIU-YF leadership or the Nautical Institute staff.
- Collaboration: You should work cooperatively and constructively with other members of the NIU-YF and the Nautical Institute. You should support the goals and initiatives of the NIU-YF and contribute to its success. You should also seek to learn from others and share your knowledge and experience with them.
- Excellence: You should strive for excellence in your personal and professional development. You should seek to improve your skills and competencies in the maritime field. You should also participate in the NIU-YF’s events and activities, as well as those offered by the Nautical Institute and other relevant organizations. You should also provide feedback and suggestions to help improve the NIU-YF’s performance and quality.
By joining the NIU-YF, you agree to abide by this code of conduct and to uphold its principles. Any breach of this code may result in disciplinary action or termination of your membership.
