The conference, jointly organized by the university’s faculty and The Nautical Institute since 2007, was held on June 21-23, 2017 in Gdynia, Poland. The event was addressed to scientists and professionals in order to share their expert knowledge, experience and research results concerning all aspects of navigation, safety of navigation and sea transportation.

This year the Conference Grain & Maritime Days in Odessa was held in non-standard format which was not unnoticed by state structures. The first conference day was held in the RISOIL terminal at the Chernomorsk Sea Port. A comfortable conference hall, coffee break and lounge zones were installed at the territory of terminal, so the participants could observe the RISOIL terminal coordinated work during the breaks. This year total amount of participants made up 500.

To recognise the 15th Anniversary of the formation of the Branch, the Nautical Institute of Ukraine held an International Seminar and Celebratory event in Odessa in October

This important event, organised by the Odessa National Maritime Academy, was well supported by many of the world’s leading ship managers and crewing agencies. This should come as no surprise, as Ukraine is the third largest provider of seafarers to IMEC companies after Philippines and India. There are estimated to be about 10,000 cadets in training in the Ukraine and 70,000 seafarers in the industry. Seafaring and shipping services are a respected profession in the Ukraine and due to economic issues, a long career at sea is a good career move.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to this World Maritime Day Symposium. This is the second symposium we have held this year. And, this is the first time that such an event has been associated specifically with World Maritime Day.

125 representatives of 65 companies and institutions from 14 countries have participated in the Forum.
Thousands of citizens and guests of Odessa visited Exhibition.

Dr. Suresh Idnani, one of ICSW’s board members, was unanimously re-elected as President of International Maritime Health Association (IMHA) at the Annual General Meeting held on 8th september 2011 in Odessa, Ukraine.

just a short notice to confirm that the Fifth conference ‘Practice of maritime business: sharing experience’ will take place on May 28-29 in Odessa, Ukraine.

On April 9, 2008 , Law firm «International Law Officers», CJS Company «Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Ukraine, Odessa» and the Nautical Institute of Ukraine held the first seminar from the serious of «SAFETY OF NAVIGATION, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND SECURITY AT SEA», planed to be held in 2008 – 2012.

The Conference on its conclusion identified the following points and recommendations.
Volumes of sea transportation have a constantly increasing trend and consequently the traffic in coastal waters, channels and port approaches is increasing in countries of the Black Sea basin.
The efficient use of safety tools such as Pilotage and Vessel traffic services will lead to safer and more efficient shipping activity in such areas.
